Consultation is an integral component of the Environmental Assessment
(EA) process. Consultation provides opportunities for two-way communication
with interested stakeholders and enables the identification of potentially
significant issues early in the decision-making process. This process includes
identifying the environmental effects of the planned activities and developing
and evaluating a reasonable range of alternative solutions, and identification
of measures to mitigate any adverse environmental impacts.
Upon completion of the study, an Environmental Study Report (ESR) documenting
the Class EA process will be submitted to the Ministry of the Environment and will
be available for public review for a period of 30 calendar days.

Two Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held throughout the planning process to allow the public opportunities to review and comment on project details. The PICs will be an open house format where those interested can review the progress of the project through the design and planning process, provide input to the study, and exchange information with the Project Team. This input may be provided in follow up email, or during the PIC.
The first PIC will be held online with materials available for comment between December 7th and December 10th, 2020. The purpose of this PIC is to present the Major alternatives and corresponding sub-alternatives for public comment. A copy of the materials to be presented can be found via the link below:
